The latest PRC-Saltillo app update expands AI features, Minspeak® symbols, vocabulary options, and more! Update LAMP Words for Life®, TouchChat®, Unity® AAC, and Dialogue® AAC apps to version 2026.3 and explore all that’s new today! To access the latest app features, make sure your device is operating with iOS version 18 or later.

Pro tip: Save your vocabulary file before updating or turn on automatic backup and let your app do the work for you.

Enjoy a Fresh, Modern Look for Minspeak Symbols

A new modern version of Minspeak multi-meaning symbols is here! Modern symbols feature simplified details, lines, and colors for visual clarity while maintaining the composition of the Classic symbols that are established for countless communicators. This purposely diverse symbol set has been redrawn by our illustration team in a scalable, never-blurry format that removes pixelation and allows for more symbol options down the road.

• Modern symbols will be available in the symbol library with update 2026.3
• Your customized vocabulary files will keep their Classic symbols
• New English and Spanish files will open with Modern symbols
• There is not a toggle button to go between the two symbol sets, but symbols from both sets can be used at the same time

Most recent vocab files with Classic symbols will be available online as legacy files with the next software update.

LAMP Words for Life: Visual Impairment

This file is a specialized adaptation of the traditional LAMP Words for Life vocabulary system designed for individuals who are blind or have low vision. It maintains the core motor-planning methodology while incorporating high-contrast symbols and layout adjustments. A tactile KeyGuide is coming soon for the fundable 11-inch Via Pro communication device.

Now available in Spanish for Unity AAC, Engage Español provides access to topic-based communication and cause-and-effect games to introduce the new-to-AAC communicator to talking and playing with their device. Help Shape Your AAC App Experience by Sharing Feedback

Beginning with 2026.3, you have two new ways to participate in sharing feedback to improve AAC.

Share feedback directly from your AAC app

Go to Menu > Feedback and type your message to PRC-Saltillo using your vocabulary.

Share feedback anonymously from your AAC app

Opt in to share your experience. All data is collected without information to identify you personally to guarantee user privacy. This feature will capture metrics for user app settings. In addition, PRC-Saltillo cannot access the words communicated on the app. The choice to opt out will be available at any time through the settings menu.

Removing iOS 16 and 17 Support

Starting with version 2026.3, PRC-Saltillo will no longer provide support for apps on iOS 16 and 17. Update your iPhone® or iPad® to iOS 18 or later, ideally the latest version, to access all the updates and features your AAC app has to offer.

• Current users who are unable to update to iOS 18 may continue using their app at version 2026.2
• New users will not be able to purchase our four AAC apps on a device running less than iOS 18
