New WordPower80 File 

It’s time to update your iOS app or Chat Software to version 2026.2 to experience new vocabulary for WordPower®.

NEW WordPower80 file

Check out the new WordPower80 vocabulary file. This expanded layout features a larger set of high-frequency core words on the main page to support faster, more efficient communication with fewer keystrokes.

• Both vocabulary files feature core words in Category and Activity pages to provide a bridge between core and fringe words
• Both 80 files include logical linking verbs in related Category buttons
• WordPower80 offers increased symbol support compared to the standard symbol support of WordPower80 with Keyboard

Note: The vocabulary file previously labeled WP80 has changed names to WordPower80 with Keyboard for clarity.

Word Families Added to Phonics Pages

Robust AAC vocabularies help students explore phonics by activating buttons with sounds and letters. This interaction encourages learners to practice sounds, create meaningful words, and gain literacy skills.

Previously, select WordPower files had phonics pages and now they include word families too. Find these new pages in WordPower25, 42, 42 Basic, 48, 48 Basic, 108, 108 with Keyboard (English).

Vehicle Sounds Make AAC Learning Fun

Learning something new is more enjoyable when you include shared interests and fun activities. If your AAC learner loves planes, trains, and automobiles, these new vehicle sounds will be a great way to connect. Check them out in WordPower25, 42, 42 Basic, 48, 48 Basic, 60, 60 Basic, 80, 80 with Keyboard, 108, and 108 with Keyboard English files as well as Español and Mandarin files.

Talk About Your Feelings with Zones of Regulation

Explore the new Zones of Regulation page that opens from the FEELINGS pages in WordPower25, 42, 42 Basic, 48, 48 Basic, 60, 60 Basic, 80, 80 with Keyboard, 108, and 108 with Keyboard English files. AAC creates a way to express emotions and needs. This specific page provides another tool to help communicators and their teams improve self-regulation and interact well together.

AAC that Speaks Your Language

In case you missed it, the previous Chat Software 2026.1 release introduced three new English dialects—Canadian, UK, and Australian—for WordPower60 Basic to help you feel more at home in your AAC system. In 2026.2, additional updates were made to reflect the foods you eat, the money you use, and the places you visit. It’s English the way you use it. Explore them today!
