Try out NuVoice® PASS Software 

NuVoice PASS software for Accent® devices is PRC-Saltillo’s long-standing platform, trusted by AAC users for years and still widely used today. Built for programming, customization, and support, it gives AAC teams a powerful way to explore vocabularies, create and modify files, and build teaching materials, including icon-supported resources using Write with Icons. With familiar tools and established vocabularies, NuVoice is a strong fit for both legacy users and those just getting started. When available on a device, users can switch between NuVoice and Empower to choose the platform that works best for them.

Perfect for programming vocabularies, creating support materials, and exploring NuVoice on your own computer, NuVoice PASS lets you practice, customize, and prepare materials without needing the device present.

You can install NuVoice PASS software on any Laptop or Desktop PC that meets the following minimum requirements:

  • Windows® operating system (Windows 10 or later recommended)

  • Intel Celeron-class dual-core processor at 1.6 GHz or greater

  • 4 GB of RAM

  • At least 6 GB of available hard drive space

Included in the NuVoice PASS emulator software:

  • 90 days access to speech output

  • Ongoing access to NuVoice vocabularies with the ability to create, import, edit, and export custom vocabularies

  • Ability to create support materials such as smart charts, manual boards, and vocabulary lists

Availability

NuVoice is the long-standing software platform for Accent devices and continues to be widely used and supported. It offers a broad range of established vocabularies and features that support communication, teaching, and customization. NuVoice is available on Accent devices (800-40, 1000-40, and 1400-30), supporting touch, head tracking, and eye tracking access methods. It is also compatible with earlier Accent 800, 1000, and 1400 models using NuVoice software. NuVoice supports widely used language systems, including Unity® and LAMP Words for Life®, along with additional vocabulary options available within the platform.
