Created for literate communicators, Essence combines the simplicity of spelling with word prediction and pre-stored phrases to compose messages.

Important Update on the Empower Web Browser

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve and streamline our services and given the limitations of its current technology, we've made the decision to eventually retire the Empower Web Browser. We're excited to share that we're prioritizing the development of a more advanced interface that will give you full control over the entire Windows desktop on your Accent, including browsers like Edge and Chrome. Please note: no further bug fixes or feature updates will be made to the current Empower Web Browser.

What this means for you:

For Empower + Touch Communicators:

• Option 1: Continue using the Empower Web Browser as it is
• Option 2: Use your preferred browser (Edge, Chrome, etc.) directly on the Accent desktop

For Empower + Eye Tracking Communicators:

• Option 1: Continue using the Empower Web Browser as it is
• Option 2: Use Windows Eye Control with any browser of your choice on the Accent desktop

For Empower + Head Tracking Communicators:

• Continue using the Empower Web Browser as it is

For Empower + Scanning Communicators:

• Currently, web browser use is not supported
