Update Your AAC App For New LAMP Words For Life Look & More

It’s time to update your PRC-Saltillo AAC apps to version 2025.2 so you can experience all that’s new with TouchChat®, LAMP Words for Life®, and Dialogue® AAC! Our software versioning reflects a change starting with this release to help track the timing/history of new features. 2025.2 represents the year and the version number during that year.

If you are new to our apps, our updated license agreement will pop up on the screen first. Please agree to the terms and then start communicating.

New Look for LAMP Words for Life Icon

There’s a fresh, new LAMP Words for Life icon headed your way! This new look is representative of the original AAC motor plan you’ve come to know and love! The icon automatically changes on your iOS device when you update to 2025.2. Help prepare your AAC communicator for this change with these simple, creative solutions.

LAMP Words for Life In-App Tutorial

Check out the new in-app tutorial video to familiarize yourself with the vocabulary approach and software features for iOS. New customers will benefit from this substantive 15-minute video training that pops up when your app first opens. New! WordPower48 Basic Now Available in TouchChat

Introducing a brand-new WordPower® file! Designed with early language learners in mind, WordPower48 Basic provides ample picture support and novel structures to facilitate expressive language development.

• Core vocabulary is embedded within the category and activity pages, allowing easy generation of language from the main core page as well as within topic-based pages
• Core words remain consistent in terms of placement and access, providing a natural bridge between core and fringe words 

WordPower48 Basic is complementary to WordPower48 Español Basico. WP48 Español Basico received some updates to pair these two files together in support of your bilingual communicator. Try out the new “cheat sheet” in WP48 Español Basico. This one-page features voice output and buttons labeled in English and Spanish.

• With this update, WordPower 20 became a legacy file; your customized WP20 file will continue to be available to you; corresponding Keyguards and TouchGuides will continue to be available as well
• WordPower 25 Touch & Scan received a simplified name change to WordPower 25

Randomizing SymbolStix Skin Tones

In response to your feedback that darker skin tones were appearing primarily on negaWittive emotions and lighter skin tones were paired with more positive emotions in MultiChat 15, we randomized the skin tones across the buttons on the DESCRIBE – FEELINGS pages in MultiChat 15 Student, Adolescent, and Adult vocabulary files with SymbolStix symbols.
