Welcome To The PRC-Saltillo Knowledge Base

The new Knowledge Base is a self-service support site for learning about your AAC device features or finding the answer to a “how-to” product question quickly and independently. You are going to love the ability to send a link to specific sections of product manuals or quickly toggle to the translated documentation in the language you need. The Knowledge Base brings you the most current information so you always have access to the latest software changes and more. And it's available for everyone on your AAC team! Keep reading to learn more about what you can expect from the Knowledge Base and start using this resource.

Knowledge Base documentation types

The Knowledge Base features support articles for PRC-Saltillo devices, software, vocabularies, apps, and accessories! If you support individuals on more than one device or app, this will streamline your search for information.

• Web-based manuals for each device model: These manuals include multiple support articles for intended use, setup, safety, compliance, and care-related instructions; check out the Via® Mini device manual to see an example
• Web-based manuals for each available software/app: These manuals include multiple support articles for how-to instructions related to programming/software features, safety, and compliance, plus a subcategory for those who are just getting started; check out the LAMP Words for Life® app manual to see what they are like

Searching for information in the Knowledge Base

Find and share up-to-date information with the Knowledge Base’s accessibility and search features. Place your cursor in the search bar and type a keyword or phrase to find the most relevant support articles or use the filter to search for a product by category name (for example, NovaChat®). You can also ask AI to help you find an answer by typing a question in the search bar and selecting enter.

Documentation is available to search in multiple languages. Use the dropdown menu in the top right corner of your screen to change the site/search interface and documentation into the language you need. Additional languages will be added over time.

Sharing information from the Knowledge Base

The Knowledge Base is designed for you to share information with others. Here’s how.

• Each single article, and each category of articles, has a unique URL noted with a link symbol ; you can copy and share them like any other web link
• Single articles can also be printed to save for quick reference (PDF or physical); the “Published on” and “Updated on” dates will appear in the header of the printed copy to ensure you have an updated resource
