Sara Sterling, M.S., CCC-SLP, earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Stockton University in Speech Pathology and Audiology. She completed her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Nova Southeastern University. Prior to joining PRC-Saltillo, Sara worked as a Speech Language Pathologist at a school for children with multiple disabilities where she provided direct therapy for students ages 3-21 with a variety of complex communication needs, consulted with families for device implementation, and assisted in the development of a district feeding/swallowing team for students with feeding and swallowing disorders. Sara had the opportunity to offer trainings to staff and parents related to the use of AAC tools to improve communication skills of students as well as safe feeding/swallowing practices. Additionally, Sara has experience with Early Intervention and working in sub-acute facilities with adults.
Sara holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), a state license in Speech-Language Pathology from the State of New Jersey, and is a member of ASHA’s Special Interest Division 12 (AAC Division).
