Nicole Smith, M.A., CCC-SLP, earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Ball State University. She continued her education and also completed her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Ball State University in 1999. For over 20 years, Nicole has worked in the public school setting providing evaluation and treatment to students preschool-12th grade ranging from articulation to augmentative and alternative communication. Nicole also co-taught with the intense interventions teacher, supervised a speech-language pathologist assistant, was the special education department team leader, completed AAC evaluations, and provided professional development to staff. ​Additionally, Nicole has ​co-presented on AAC at PATINS, Indiana Principals’ Association, Indiana AAC Summit, OCALICON, Closing the Gap, ISHA, Talking AAC, TATN, IHD, ATIA, SXSW.edu, Center for AAC and Autism and AAC in the Cloud. She has had guest posts on the AAC Language Lab and PrAACtical AAC. Nicole is also a Certified LAMP Professional.
Nicole holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), a state license in Speech-Language Pathology from the State of Indiana, and is a member of ASHA’s Special Interest Division 12 (AAC Division).
