Kirk Behnke, M.E., ATP, earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree from The College of New Jersey and his Master’s degree in Education and Special Education from Temple University, Philadelphia. He also holds a current credential from RESNA as an Assistive Technology Professional and a Certificate in Assistive Technology Applications from the University College of Dublin, Ireland.
Prior to joining PRC-Saltillo, Kirk previously worked for CAST in several leadership roles around Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Professional Development. He also worked for Region 4 Education Service Center, Houston, Texas as the Senior Education Specialist in Special Education Services and as the Lead for the Texas Assistive Technology Network (TATN). Additionally, he has held other positions including the Professional Services Market Manager for Don Johnston, Inc., and at the Center on Disabilities at California State University in Northridge, CA (CSUN) as the Coordinator of Training, Grants and Contracts. Kirk developed and implemented the “Assistive Technology Applications Certificate Program (ATACP)” at CSUN. He has also consulted internationally in Canada, Singapore and the Middle East.
