Valerie Susnick, M.S., CCC-SLP, earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from Seton Hall University. She continued on to also complete her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Seton Hall University in 2010. She began her career working in private and public schools – primarily serving individuals with complex communication needs. Thereafter, Valerie went on to gain additional clinical experience in outpatient therapy centers, private practice, and contract work. Most recently, Valerie comes from Nemours/AI DuPont Hospital for Children where she was a key evaluator on their comprehensive AAC team. Valerie has co-presented on AAC at ATIA, previously served on the NJSHA AAC Committee, and volunteered with Camp Chatterbox – an overnight AAC Camp in New Jersey. She has particular interest in alternative access methods for AAC.
Valerie holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) as well as state licenses in Speech-Language Pathology from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. She is also a member of ASHA’s Special Interest Division 12 (AAC Division) and the United States Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (USSAAC).
