Gina Sparrow, M.A., CCC-SLP, received a bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and Spanish from the University of New Hampshire in 2010. She went on to pursue a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, graduating from Indiana University in 2013. Prior to joining PRC-Saltillo, Gina worked as a speech-language pathologist in the outpatient pediatric setting for 8 years. She spent a portion of this time working in a rehabilitation hospital, which provided experience working with children who had a variety of complex medical and communication needs. She spent the majority of her time as a speech-language pathologist in private practice, where she was part of a multidisciplinary team, working to create effective, creative, and fun therapy for children. In this setting she evaluated and provided treatment for children with diverse communication profiles, in the areas of articulation, receptive and expressive language, fluency, cognition, and feeding. It was during her time in private practice that Gina began to conduct AAC evaluations, and to work with families and therapy teams to find appropriate and effective communication options for individuals.
Gina holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and a state license in Speech-Language Pathology from the state of New Hampshire.
