Darcy Lees, M. Ed., CCC-SLP, earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders and Master of Education in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Toledo. She has over 20 years of experience in the field of Speech-Language Pathology and has worked in private practice, clinical, and public school settings. Prior to joining PRC in June 2018, Darcy served as an AAC/AT consultant on the Ann Arbor Public Schools Assistive Technology team. There she supported school teams with completing the Assistive Technology Decision Making Process, consulted with the students’ SLPs and teachers on implementation, and provided training for school teams and parents to encourage use of AAC across the day. Darcy was a public school based SLP in Michigan for 14 years. She provided speech and language services to preschool through high school age students who presented with a wide range of communication disorders and abilities. Before moving to the school setting she worked as a clinical supervisor of undergraduate and graduate students completing clinical practicum hours and as a contract SLP. Darcy also owned a private practice providing evaluation and therapy services with a focus on AAC, language disorders, and literacy skills.
Darcy holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), a state license in Speech-Language Pathology in Michigan, is a member of the Michigan Speech-Language-Hearing Association (MSHA), and is also a member of ASHA’s Special Interest Group 12 (AAC).
