Connie McCafferty, M.A, CCC-SLP, earned both her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences and Master of Education degree in Deaf Education and Elementary Education from The Ohio State University. She completed her Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Cincinnati in 2007. Prior to joining PRC in 2015, Connie was an itinerant teacher for the hearing impaired and low-incidence educator in Fairfield County, Ohio. During this time she traveled among multiple school districts and worked with students and teachers providing training and educational programming for children with a wide variety of hearing impairments as well as children with multiple disabilities and autism. Upon completing her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Connie was the K-12 Speech Language Pathologist for Forest Rose School in Lancaster, Ohio completing AAC evaluations and implementing a number of AAC and assistive technologies school-wide. Then, Connie became a speech language pathologist for the Southwest Licking School District, Pataskala, Ohio, where she also helped supervise the low incidence units and coordinated the assistive technology team for the district. Additionally, Connie has provided speech therapy through home health agencies to children and adults with complex communication needs.
Connie holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and a state license in Speech-Language Pathology from the State of Ohio.
